Deoksu Palace
Deoksu Palace is located next to the City hall station(subway 1,2 lines) in Seoul.
We visited the palace around 18:00 in the early evening, so the weather became cooler.
The entrance fee was 1,000 won (Adults) and free (Children).
Deoksu Palace is not big and splendid, but it has the history of Korea, which was tumultuous in the early twentieth century.
The tour guides lead people every 30 minutes from the entrance inside the palace and explain the building.
At the time of emperor Gojong, Western and Japan entered the Chosun Dynasty, so there were few first Western-style buildings in the palace.
Korean architecture is not grand like Chinese architecture but has a simple beauty.
I felt the beauty of the raised curves at the roof’s edge of the building and the comfortable balance of stony flooring.
