The question, “How to give the best things to God” makes believers mature. God commanded Israelites not to sacrifice blemished ox or sheep.

You remember that verse, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength” (Deu. 6:5). The offering to him must be pure and without blemish.

And God’s response to evil is decisive. The people who commit idolatry state put to death by stoning them at the gate outside. By the way, other minor disputes between Israelites have been settled by Levites.
