[Bible Journey] Deuteronomy 21~25
Moses explained many laws, including the birthright between brothers giving a double portion, and inheriting his father’s role as head of the family to the firstborn.
Besides, the firstborn has meant the rights and authority which God determines. Sometimes God reversed its right and authority in the story of Jacob and Esau.
Esau didn’t respect birthright and ignored God’s law, and then he married a woman who was not Israel. Eventually, he sold his birthright.
In a spiritual sense, what would you do if you were God’s firstborn? How do you regard firstborn right as Father’s inheritor required to keep His law and heritage?
