[Bible Journey] Meaning of Egypt-Deuteronomy 29

I have meditated on Deuteronomy 29:15, “…dwelled in the land of Egypt.” Egypt was a great city, the center of the civilized ancient world.

Geographically, it is very close to Israel, where God delivered the Israelites across the Red Sea. The Red sea provides water to Egyptians, satisfying all their needs—living and agriculture.

However, Egypt was the worst place for Israelites because of slavery and bondage at the time of Moses. Therefore, their harsh life is also expressed as life under sin.
