[Bible Journey] Genesis 21
God kept His promise to Sarah. She finally bored Issac at old age, and Abraham circumcised Issac when he was eight days old. Circumcision shows a definite covenant with God through the body.
Sarah was pleased and thanked God when seeing the baby. She said,” God has made joy for me.” (Gen 21:6).
Due to Issac’s birth, Abraham sent Harar and her son. So, Hagar faced starvation on the way to the desert of Beer Sheba after depleting water and bread.
However, God cared for her and her son, not to death, and heard Hagar’s prayer. So again, we see God’s mercy, who listens to people’s earnest prayers.
