WALKING WITH GOD—How to overcome sexual sin
Challenging cultures to stimulate adultery, pornography, and fornication are prevalent in modern society.
So many people including myself are tempted by pornography and sexual sin.
Here’s a strategy to win sexual sin.
First, you must fix your eyes on Christ. The more you try to control sexual temptation, the more focused you will be on it. So you have to use the law of substitution. To overcome the temptation of sexual sin, Joseph cast off his cloth and left the place where Potiphar’s wife was, and fled.
Second, keep meditating on this Bible verse, (1) “Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own” (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) and (2) “It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God” (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).
