WALKING WITH GOD—Self Control
Esau sold his birthright after failing to keep God’s inheritance to the end because he couldn’t overcome hunger and failed in self-control. Generally, self-control is more required for young people who tend to act emotionally. So, Satan utilizes the weakest point of humans, easily tempted by physical lust and temporary pleasure without self-control. Bible rephrases what Esau made mistakes, “See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. Even though he sought the blessing with tears, he could not change what he had done” (Hebrews, NIV 12:16-17).
Also, the bible mentions that a strong person is not just physically strong but good at self-controlling. Again, you need to learn and strengthen your self-control power if you pursue eternal life and value as believers.
