WALKING WITH GOD—Why God chose Shepherd?

Why did God choose a shepherd for his mission?

Shepherds should keep their flocks that are powerless and vulnerable to any risk on the field day and night. Also, the shepherd symbolizes the humility of a lowly position, not a king or high official.

Like this, Jesus played the role of the shepherd that teaches, heals, and guides the disciples and people, not appearing as king—denoting high status.

In the end, the relationship between the sheep and the shepherd also represents the leaders and members of modern communities, like our relationship with God.

Again, Bible shows the relationship between God and his flocks, “Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture” (Psalm 100:3).
