Walking With God—Why do we read the word of God?
What things do you want to fill your brain?
Who are you?
What book can explain questions like Where do you come from? Who are you? And where do you go when you die? I confidently say only Bible tells you about the answers to these questions.
How do we listen to God? He speaks through the word in Scripture, like in old times. Without the word of God, we never confirm whether His voice or not.
Reading Bible regularly means spiritual discipline to live a godly life. The effect of continuous reading is powerful enough to stick to our memory so that it delivers our thoughts, expressing words and actions.
“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you” (Philippians 4:8-9).
