The good news is that Yeshua conquered death! He resurrected from the dead, and it changed everything. The resurrection was so important to the early church’s identity that anyone who denied the resurrection was cast out as a heretic. Early Christians were persecuted and martyred because of their confession about resurrection. They were beaten, imprisoned, and even killed because of this belief. Paul said, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16). The gospel is the power of God to salvation because it shows God’s power to save us from death itself. Why does death come into our life? We all die because of sin, but the gospel gives us hope that we can be resurrected to eternal life through Yeshua. Therefore, the gospel message is so powerful.
