The best way to start your day is to focus on activities that rejuvenate and clear your mind. To focus on your daily activities, having a well-functioning body helps you concentrate on what’s important without slowing you down. Above all, hydrating your body is a priority for your healthy body. The first thing you should do upon waking up is drink a glass of water. Your body is over 70% water and requires it for almost every function—from the smooth functioning of your brain to strengthening the cells that make up your body. You can also add lemon juice or infuse some herbs (like basil, rosemary, or mint) into the water you drink in the morning. Making a gratitude list is an effective way to focus your mind on the positive and boost optimism. Also, the lists can greatly improve mental health by reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety. Another way to raise your focus is meditation. Meditation is an exercise for mental well-being. The key point to remember is that meditation is a quiet time with low stimulus.
