Why does God’s law matter?
Yeshua explained that those who belong to the kingdom of God live according to the commandments of God. God’s law is the kingdom’s constitution, and those who belong to the kingdom live according to its rules. Jesus also explained that if you want to be great in the kingdom, you will teach and obey its laws. A good citizen abides by the law of their country; conversely, if a person refuses to live by their government’s law, that person is considered an enemy of the state. If you violate God’s law, it is sinning. The Bible says: “Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17) and “whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness” (1 John 3:4).
What does repentance mean?
Repentance means to change your mind and turn away from sin. If we repent of sin, that means we stop doing it. It requires a change of mind so that we no longer sin.
